YOUtopia

A utopia is, by definition, an imaginary place or state and infinitely remote, for it is an ideal of perfection. The exact concept of what a utopia would be varies by person, and this collection focuses on one: my sister. After living all of our lives regularly sharing our time and spaces, a great and positive change has led us to be on separate continents. As a consequence of this, our dynamic has changed; I have not been able to be with her when she needs my support and my presence. In my eagerness to want to help and protect her, still in the distance, I devised a place, a perfect moment, imaginary, of course, where she could go and escape everything that afflicts her.

This moment exists on a cloudy and rainy day, late into fall, almost winter, where there is only her, nature, and her infinite collection of books. Accompanied by the peaceful landscape of a dense and impenetrable forest, she would have all of the time in the world to devote to her favorite pastime, reading.

The colors of this utopia were the inspiration for this collection.
